Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov Names Financial Terms For Conor McGregor Rematch

MMA

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor returned after a year-plus absence to defeat Donald Cerrone by first round TKO in the main event of UFC 246.

A victorious McGregor could be in line for a second bout with UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, but Khabib’s father in Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has set a financial term the UFC must meet in order for that second encounter to happen.

“We also need revenge against Conor, but give us $100 million,” Abdulmanap told RIA Novosti (via RT). “The day after the fight against Ferguson, give us that amount and then why not hold a rematch? I don’t know, maybe Dana White wants to arrange it (for that amount), he needs that fight.”

UFC President Dana White did say that McGregor would get a rematch with a victory at UFC 246, but it would appear that the potential second bout between McGregor and Nurmagomedov could come at a steep price tag.

Nurmagomedov has a tough challenge ahead of him before a second bout with McGregor could take place, as the champion is defending the gold against former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 249
