Adrien Broner Wants To Fight Manny Pacquiao

Now that Manny Pacquiao is back in the fold and holding a world title, several boxers are lining up to fight him, including Adrien Broner.

Broner was just one of many names who was present at the Badou Jack vs. James DeGale boxing card at the Barclays Center on January 14, but his purpose for being there was not primarily that as a fan, but to talk about his upcoming fight against Adrian Granados next month.

In a media scrum at the Barclays Center, Broner talked about Pacquiao and said he is the best opponent for Pacquiao, as a competitor and as someone that can draw large number of people to watch him fight.

"He needs me,” Broner insisted. “What did he get paid for his last fight? I just know the status of me and a fight like Pacquiao. I know what it would do. It would do crazy numbers. At this point most definitely I feel like the biggest fight for me in boxing is Manny Pacquiao.”

Broner also talked about Pacquiao's next opponent, relative unknown Jeff Horn, who is fighting Pacquiao in April. Broner was not exactly on board with Pacquiao fighting Horn.

“I don’t even know who that guy is, no disrespect to him," Broner said. "I’ve never seen him fight. But if he got the chance to fight Manny Pacquiao he’s obviously not a bum, but at the end of the day we all know what a fight with Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner would do. So they need to stop dragging their feet and make it happen. I told everyone make the numbers right and we have a fight.”

Since losing to Shawn Porter in 2015, Broner won his last two fights, including the vacant WBA "super" super lightweight title.
