Adrien Broner Wants To Fight Manny Pacquiao

Adrien Broner has his hands full with Mikey Garcia in late July, but that doesn't mean Broner isn't thinking about other boxers, mainly Manny Pacquiao.

Broner spoke with CBS Sports and told Pacquiao and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum to give him a call about making a fight happen. Broner also criticized Arum for having Pacquiao's upcoming July 1 against Jeff Horn be broadcasted on ESPN.

"Pacquiao needs me. Pacquiao, give me a call man," Broner said. "Arum, y'all need me. It's not looking too good if y'all fighting back on ESPN man. Yes, and I think after my great performance on July 29, I think that will spark the fuel with me and Pacquiao. And I think that we are going to make it happen."

But the four-division world champion knows he has to perform well in order to silence any doubters in the wake of personal issues plaguing his career for nearly a year, including numerous run-ins with the police.

"It's all about action. It's about action. Now it's time to just start showing it and showing action," Broner said. "It's putting my hands where my mouth is and putting my hands where other people's mouth is. It's time to perform like i was in my early stages, putting on these great shows. It's time to bring the focus and get serious for the next half of my career."

Broner will fight Garcia, the current world champion at lightweight, in the main event of a Barclays Center card that will broadcasted on Showtime on July 29. That fight will be contested at light welterweight.
