After Defeating CM Punk; Gall Wants To Fight Northcutt

MMA

Mickey Gall walked into UFC 203 with one single minded goal to achieve, which was to defeat CM Punk, Gall did that in spades. However, the undefeated prospect did not want to stop with the destruction of the former professional wrestling star, instead he has set his focus on a new target…Sage Northcutt.

Gall was quick to call out the man who was featured in the same reality show as him, Dana White’s “Lookin’ For A Fight.”

“I hope they give me Sage…I think everyone wants to see that fight," Northcutt said to the Cleveland crowd.

According to UFC President Dana White at the UFC 203 Post-Fight Press Conference, he received a text from Northcutt’s camp saying they were interested in the fight as well. However, there may be a potential hang up that will need to be addressed before the fight can be signed and that potential hang up has to do with weight.

Northcutt primarily competes at lightweight, with the exception of one fight at welterweight, while Gall has fought as a welterweight only thus far as a pro and as an amateur. Whether or not the fight comes together, which seems like it will at this point, Dana White said that neither Gall or anybody else will have to worry about the undefeated prospects future with the promotion.

“Mickey Gall will obviously move forward and continue to fight here in the UFC," White said.

Northcutt last competed a few months back at UFC 200, where he defeated Enrique Marin by unanimous decision.
