Former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cyborg was last seen in the Octagon at UFC 232, losing the title to two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes.

Audie Attar is Cyborg’s agent and he says the former champion wants to work on a new deal with the UFC.

“The hopes are we can get a new deal done with the UFC, but time will tell on whether that is achievable or not,” Attar told ESPN. “We haven’t received any official fight offer but she would love to fight in her hometown. We’ve had some soft discussions about her next fight and her future. She’d love to fight for the UFC.”

Cyborg has one fight left on her current UFC contract and reports have surfaced saying that the former champion wants to compete this May at UFC 237.

Despite the loss to Nunes, one thing Attar believes is that Cyborg is still one of the more exciting fighters for the fans to watch.

”Cris Cyborg is one of the biggest draws in MMA. And that is fact. Even in that last fight, she went in there and didn’t fight her fight and got caught, but it was still exciting to watch,” says Attar.

The former champion recently stated that the UFC may have indirectly cut her after the promotion removed the UFC Women’s Featherweight Division rankings for their website.
