Alex Nurmagomedov Says UFC Offered Khabib $15 Million For UFC 229 Rematch, Dana White Denies The Claim

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomed headlined UFC 229 and subsequently submitted Conor McGregor in the fourth round of their title fight.

Alex Nurmagomedov is Khabib’s uncle and he claims the UFC has offered the lightweight champion $15 million for an immediate rematch against McGregor.

“From the start, they offered him 15 million if he agrees,” Nurmagomedov told Sport Express. “But Khabib said no. Let Conor stand in line, let him fight with others. Khabib wants to fight Ferguson, and then finish his career.”

Even if the story were true, it may be awhile before either fighter competes again as both Nurmagomedov and McGregor are expected to be punished by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for the post-fight brawl at UFC 229.

The claims for Khabib's uncle would also go against a recent statement made by Khabib, who not only threatened to leave the UFC over the madness surrounding the UFC 229 brawl, but also claimed to have gotten an offer from the WWE
