A women?s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Austin as #14 (WSW) Alexa Grasso faces #13 Ji Yeon Kim.
The UFC announced the bout earlier today via Instagram.
Grasso (11-3-0) is going to be making her UFC Women?s Flyweight Division debut in this bout, having previously competed at strawweight. Grasso has rotated wins and losses throughout her UFC run, with the latest bout being a loss to Carla Esparza at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Grasso has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of decision.
Kim (9-2-2) has won three of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Justine Kish, Melinda Fabian and Nadia Kassem. Kim has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came in UFC competition. Kim has competed five times thus far in the UFC and four of those encounters went to the judges scorecards.
UFC Fight Night Austin takes place on Saturday, June 27 from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
