Alexander Gustafsson hasn't been the most active fighter over the last couple of years, and that trend will continue.
Gustafsson has been removed from his main event fight with Antonio Rogerio Noguiera at UFC Fight Night 100, according to MMA Fighting. The former UFC Light Heavyweight challenger Gustafsson has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury.
In Gustafsson's place will be Ryan Bader (#4) (21-5). Bader last fought earlier this month, knocking out Ilir Latifi at UFC Fight Night Germany. Bader has won six of his last seven, and looked poised to earn a UFC title shot, before ironically being passed up last year in favor of Gustafsson.
Bader's opponent -- and originally Gustafsson's -- for UFC Fight Night 100, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (#9) (22-7) defeated Patrick Cummins in May to earn his first UFC victory in well over three years. Nogueira was won only three fights in the past six years, a span that includes seven bouts.
UFC Fight Night 100 takes place on November 19 from Sao Paulo, Brazil
