It has been just about a week since UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes destroyed former champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 207.
Nunes only took a grand total of 48 seconds to defeat Rousey, a fighter who Nunes claims has been vastly overrated.
“Yes, for sure [Rousey is overrated]. The UFC make this happen. They put her in a place where she’s not at. But I know I can beat Ronda Rousey since I saw her first fight,” Nunes said to TMZ Sports.
While Nunes has long claimed that Rousey is overrated, she also can't figure out just how Rousey got so far in the UFC.
“I don’t know how Ronda Rousey went too far in this division. Honestly, I don’t understand why those girls lost to Ronda Rousey. I know since my first fight in the UFC I can beat Ronda Rousey, but of course I have to take my time and put everything together. That day was the day to prove to everybody and I did it,” said Nunes.
Rousey has yet to announce anything in regards to her future, but everybody from her mother to legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach believes she should retire.
