Amanda Nunes became the first ever female two division UFC champion when she defeated Cyborg by first round knockout in the co-main event of UFC 232 to win the UFC Women?s Featherweight Title.
Cyborg would take to Twitter to challenge Nunes to a rematch, but Nunes claimed to be done with featherweight, while also suggesting that Cyborg fight PFL competitor Kayla Harrison:
Nunes has yet to officially relinquish the UFC Women?s Featherweight Title or be stripped of the gold by the UFC.
Harrison has also shown interest in fighting Cyborg in the past, but is first entering the PFL Season 2 Women?s Lightweight Tournament, which is set to begin later this year.
The women?s featherweight champion also took to Twitter to announce plans to drop to flyweight and challenge for that divisions title:
Valentina Shevchenko is the current ruler of the UFC Women?s Flyweight Division and has already suffered two defeats to Nunes.
If Nunes does drop to flyweight and capture the divisions title, it would make her the first fighter of any gender to win three championships from three different weight classes in the UFC.
