Andre Pederneiras Tests Positive For The Coronavirus

Andre Pederneiras is the founder of Nova Uniao and one of the best coaches in mixed martial arts history. 

However, it appears that the coach’s next challenge won’t happen in the MMA world, but outside of it, as Combate reports that Pederneiras has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Pederneiras, who is already self-quarantining at home, said the following to Combate about contracting the coronavirus. 

“The IgM was positive and the IgG was negative, that is, I have the virus but I don’t have immunity yet,” Pederneiras said. “The same day I started self-quarantining in my room, separating myself from my family at home.”

There is no word yet as to whether or not other members of Pederneiras’ family also came down with the coronavirus. Pederneiras lives in the country of Brazil, which is a current hotspot for the coronaviurs pandemic.

WorldOMeters reports that 367,906 people in Brazil have been diagnosed with the virus, while 22,965 have passed away due to the virus.
