Lee has faced a lot of top competition in her MMA career, but if there was a dream opponent for Lee to fight, it would be UFC star Michelle Waterson.
“I think that would be an awesome fight. I think the fans would definitely love it,” Lee told Bloody Elbow. “I haven’t met Michelle in person but I follow her on Instagram and I love her story and what she represents. I would love to meet her one day and it would be an honour to fight her as well. I think it would be a great fight.”
Waterson and Lee have interacted in the past before, as Waterson told Channel News Asia that Lee wasn’t ready for the UFC, but that was back in 2017.
The One Women’s Atomweight Champion says that nobody knows how a fight will play out, no matter how said fighters are promoted by their individual promotions.
“No one ever knows how a fight is going to turn out until it happens. Each promotion does a great job of promoting their fighters, but no one really knows how the fighters would match-up. You only see them in their own promotion,” Lee said. “That’s what everybody is so curious about.”
There is no word yet on when Lee will return to action, as One Championship has postponed all events through May due to the coronavirus pandemic.
