Mayweather Promotions' next boxing card in Las Vegas will feature unbeaten prospect Angelo Leo in the main event.
Leo will take on featherweight contender Mark John Yap on the June 28 edition of Mayweather Promotions’ Sin City Showdown from Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas. The card will be streamed on the Mayweather Promotions Facebook page starting at 8 p.m. ET.
The 25-year-old Leo has won all 17 of his pro bouts and is coming off a dominant 10-round decision win against Neil John Tabanao back in April. Prior to that, Leo defeated Alberto Torres by unanimous decision in February on the undercard of Gervonta Davis' first-round win over Hugo Ruiz.
Yap, a former OPBF bantamweight titleholder, is coming off a seventh-round TKO win over Ulysses Lagos. Throughout his career, Yap has faced the likes of Takuma Inoue, Ryosuke Iwasa and Kenichi Yamaguchi.
Also announced for the card is undefeated boxer Xavier Martinez taking on Jessie Cris Rosales. Martinez has fought twice this year, winning both fights in five rounds or less. Martinez last fought John Vincent Moralde in April, stopping him in the third round. Rosales, who sports a 22-2-1 pro record, last fought in January when he got stopped in the fourth round in an IBF Intercontinental and WBC Continental Americas featherweight title bout.
Other fighters on the card include 32-fight veteran Cameron Krae, unbeaten prospects Mekhrubon Sanginov, Andres Cortes and Kingdamon Antoine, Kevin Newman and Maurice Lee all in separate bouts. Opponents for those fighters will be announced at a later date.
