Anthony Fowler vs. Brian Rose Rescheduled For August 2 Show In Liverpool

Matchroom Boxing announced a new show taking place in Liverpool, England in early August.

The card, taking place at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool on August 2, will have Anthony Fowler face Bryan Rose in the main event. The event, which is part of the JD NXTGEN series, is expected to be streamed on DAZN in the United States.

Fowler vs. Rose was originally set to take place on July 6 in Manchester, but after Jack Massey, who was going to face Lawrence Okolie on the card, suffered an arm injury, the entire show was scrapped and Fowler vs. Rose was moved to another date. Okolie is fighting on July 20 on the undercard of the Dillian Whyte vs. Oscar Rivas heavyweight bout. Okolie's opponent has yet to be officially announced.

Also announced for the card is a WBA Continental junior welterweight title bout between Lewis Ritson and Joe Hughes. Ritson bounced back from an October 2018 split decision loss to Francesco Patera by beating German Argentino Benitez back in March. Hughes, a former English champion and European title challenger, is coming off a loss to Robbie Davies Jr. earlier this year.

Other fights were announced for the event include Jack Cullen vs. John Harding Jr., Martin Bakole vs. Ytalo Perea and Sean McGoldrick vs. Thomas Essomba
