Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Predicts A “KO” Win Over Ryan Bader

MMA

In just a few short days at UFC Fight Night 100 in Brazil, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will be seeking revenge against Ryan Bader, who defeated him in their first encounter at UFC 119 in September 2010.

Bader won the first fight by unanimous decision, but Nogueira is not only envisioning a win this time around, he is planning a knockout as well.

"I think he intends to take the fight to the mat whenever he wants, because he has great wrestling,” Nogueira said to Combate. “But I think he is overconfident. I fought wrestlers before and I proved myself. I don't think it'll be as easy has he thinks. He'll need a very solid gameplan to take me down, because he'll end up exchanging strikes with me and I'll take advantage of that. You can bet money on me knocking him out. I don't know when, because Bader is always very explosive in the beginning. My goal is to weather the storm in the first round and try to knock him out in the second. That's my bet for this fight."

Nogueira did get a TKO finish in his last fight, which came over Patrick Cummins at UFC 198, which took place in May of this year.

UFC Fight Night 100 takes place on Saturday, November 19 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira headlining.
