Artem Lobov headlined UFC Fight Night 108 and suffered a unanimous decision loss to Cub Swanson.

Even though their encounter won a “Fight Of The Night” bonus, the defeated fighter isn’t happy with the result of the fight.

“You win or you lose – that’s it,” Lobov said after the event. “I came to win, so … I don’t feel great, but what are you going to do? This is the fight game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. What else can I say?”

Lobov was on the receiving end of a lot of criticism for getting a main event opportunity in the UFC, with some suggesting that he got the shot due to his friendship with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

Some fighters lose confidence every time they drop a bout in the Octagon, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem with Lobov.

“I have enough confidence,” Lobov said. “Every time I step in there, even if there’s a gorilla in front of me, I think I can win. I step in there, I’m 100 percent sure I can win, and I go for the win. Sometimes I come up short, but what are you going to do? But I don’t need any more confidence, I have all the confidence in the world.”

After suffering the loss in the UFC Fight Night 108 main event, the Russian fighter now holds a record of 2-3-0 under the UFC banner.
