A second bantamweight title fight will take place at UFC 207, this one featuring the men as UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz defends against Cody Garbrandt. The UFC confirmed the news Monday afternoon.

Cruz (22-1-0) will be making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against Urijah Faber at UFC 199. Cruz never actually lost the bantamweight championship the first time he held it, as he was stripped of the championship due to injuries that kept him from competing. Cruz will enter the fight riding a thirteen fight winning streak, and he hasn't suffered a defeat in nearly a decade.

The #6-ranked Garbrandt (10-0-0) has fought a total of five times under the UFC banner, with three of those fights ending within the opening round. Garbrandt will also be competing for the fourth time this year, which is the most active he has been as a professional MMA fighter. Of the ten times Garbrandt has competed as a professional MMA fighter, only one of those fights have gone to the judge’s scorecards.

Garbrandt is the teammate of Urjah Faber, who announced his impending MMA retirement today.

UFC 207 will take place on Friday, December 30th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey in the main event.
