Bellator 214 Viewership Numbers Are In

Bellator MMA kicked off 2019 with Bellator 214 on the Paramount Network, which featured the finals of the Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix.

The show brought in the viewers because an average of 697,000 people checked out the five fight main card on the Paramount Network according to MMA Fighting, which was headlined by Ryan Bader defeating Fedor Emelianenko to win the grand prix and the Bellator Heavyweight Title.

Other fights on the main card saw Henry Corrales defeat Aaron Pico, Jake Hager defeat JW Kiser, Juan Archuleta defeat Ricky Bandejas and Adel Altamimi defeat Brandon McMahan.

It was the main event bout between Bader and Emelianenko that brought in the most viewers, with an average of 1.2 million people checking out that encounter. The co-main event between Corrales and Pico brought in an average of 808,000 viewers, while Hager versus Kiser brought in an average of 809,000 viewers.

There was some stiff competition on Saturday Night against Bellator 214, with an NBA game airing on ABC, a Premier Boxing Championship event on Fox and the NHL All-Star Game on NBC.

Up next for Bellator MMA is a double header weekend on the Paramount Network, with Bellator 215 on February 15 and Bellator 216 on February 16.
