Bellator 250: Gegard Mousasi vs. Douglas Lima Middleweight Title Fight Booked

Gegard Mousasi and Douglas Lima will vie for the vacant Bellator middleweight title at Bellator 250.

Mousasi vs. Lima was announced following Bellator President Scott Coker's announcement that the promotion is moving from Paramount Network to CBS Sports Network on October 1. The fight was originally booked for May 9 but was scrapped due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The title was vacated by Rafael Lovato Jr.

Mousasi (46-7-2) is on a 9-1 run in his last 10 fights. He beat Rafael Carvalho for the middleweight title in May 2018 and defended it against Rory MacDonald before losing to Lovato Jr. by majority decision. Lima (32-7) is on an 8-2 run and avenged the two losses against Rory MacDonald and Andrey Koreshkov. He is the reigning Bellator welterweight champion.

Bellator 250 takes place on October 29 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The main card will air on CBS Sports Network. Keep up with Fightful for all your fight night coverage.
