It's official, Chael Sonnen will make his Bellator debut in January against UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz.
Sonnen (28-14) signed with Bellator MMA just over a month ago after completing a two-year suspension in relation to multiple drug tests. Sonnen immediately targeted the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Sonnen last competed in November 2013, losing to Rashad Evans at UFC 167.
Ortiz (18-12) hasn't fought in over a year, since his failed attempt to capture the Bellator Light Heayvweight Championship against Liam McGeary at Bellator 142. Ortiz won his first two Bellator fights, taking down former champion Alexander Shlemenko and UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar.
The fight will take place at The Forum from Inglewood, California on January 21.
