Richman is serving a two year suspension after a failed drug test in June 2015, and managed to make it more than halfway through before being let go by Bellator. Goncalves Jambo announced his retirement after being cut.

Perhaps most surprising was Dave Jansen, who once challenged fo the Bellator Lightweight Championship. The 20-4 Jansen reeled off a seven-fight winning streak before dropping two fights in a row to Will Brooks and Marcin Held.

UFC veteran Houston Alexander was also released. The 44-year old famously knocked out Keith Jardine at UFC 71, and has practically made a career off of it since. He went 1-4-1 during his Bellator run, which lasted three years.
