Sad news to report as Bellator MMA veteran Katy Collins has passed away at the age of 32 due to suffering a brain aneurysm this past Friday.

JT Tilley, who was Collins’ coach, announced the news through Facebook:

UFC 300 Weigh Ins

“The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards. ...I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”

Collins held a professional MMA record of 7-5-0, but went 2-1-0 in Bellator MMA, with those wins coming over the duo of Michelle Pearce and Bruna Vargas. Collins last professional MMA bout took place at Legacy Fighting Alliance 42 in June of 2018, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jaimelene Nievera.

We here at Fightful would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends and everybody else who knew the late Katy Collins.
