For those who do not know what Murder 2 charges are, Legal-Dictionary defines it as:

“n. a non-premeditated killing, resulting from an assault in which death of the victim was a distinct possibility. Second degree murder is different from First Degree Murder which is a premeditated, intentional killing, or results from a vicious crime such as arson, rape, or armed robbery. Exact distinctions on degree vary by state.”

Vila won two of four fights during his tenure in Bellator MMA, with those wins coming over former two division champion Joe Warren and former bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao. Vila also picked up a victory in one of three bouts during his WSOF tenure, with that singe win coming over Sidemar Honorio at at the WSOF 8.

The fighter was last seen in action at Titan Fighting Championships 40 in August of 2016, defeating Jorge Calvo Martin by unanimous decision.

Fightful will provide more updates on Vila’s legal issues as they become available.
