Beneil Dariush heads to Brazil this Saturday Night to face fellow top 15 ranked lightweight Edson Barboza at UFC Fight Night 106.
Dariush also cares about international affairs and would also be fond United States stopping their efforts to bomb other countries.
“As far as politics go, I just want to see us stop bombing other countries,” he said to MMA Junkie. “If you want to talk about creating terrorism, most of it comes from us destroying other countries.”
The Iranian born Dariush has already earned eight victories under the UFC banner. Although the travel ban issued by President Donald Trump didn’t affect him, the fighter has seen the fear that it has caused others.
“The fear it caused, that was something I didn’t like seeing,” Dariush said. “When you cause fear in such a big crowd, you’ve already made a mistake, because the backlash from fear is always the worst thing.”
UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining, the main card airs live on Fox Sports 1.
