Bethe Correia was knocked out with a head kick from former UFC Women?s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Singapore.
Following her crushing defeat, the fighter issued a statement to her fans via Instagram:
Correia current holds a 4-3-1 record in the UFC (10-3-1 overall) and it has been nearly a year since the last time she earned a victory. Correia has previously challenged for the UFC Women?s Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 190.
As far as her opponent in Holm goes, the win for her ended a three fight losing streak that started back at UFC 196.
