Big Strawweight Fight Added To UFC Fight Night 104

A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night 104 as #5 Jessica Andrade will be taking on Angela Hill.

Andrade (15-5-0) has been undefeated since dropping to the strawweight division, achieving a pair of victories over the duo of Jessica Penne and Joanne Calderwood. Andrade also earned a grand total of four wins as a bantamweight, with notable victories coming over Rosi Sexton and Raquel Pennington. Andrade also holds a victory over UFC veteran Milana Dudieva outside of the promotion, that win came at Pro FC 47 in April 2013.

Former UFC Title Challenger, Bellator Champ Rory MacDonald Retires From MMA

Hill (6-2-0) is the current Invicta Fighting Championships Strawweight Champion, as she defeated Livia Renata Souza at Invicta FC 17 to win the belt. She also defended once already against Kaline Medeiros at Invicta FC 20. Hill won just one of three fights in her first UFC run, defeating Emily Kagan, while suffering defeats to the duo of Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas. Hill was a cast member of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, and was defeated in the opening round of the reality show.

Hill was scheduled to fight in December, but complications regarding a waiver period for USADA testing prevented it. UFC fixed the issue, and the fight is back on.

UFC Fight Night 104 takes place on Saturday, February 4 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung headlining.
