Billy Joe Saunders is in trouble after a video surfaced on social media that sees him taunting a woman and offering her drugs.
The video, which can be seen below, has Saunders offering "£150 worth of crack" to an unidentified woman in exchange for sexual favors for his friend and then later on, tried to get the woman to punch a stranger whom Saunders accused of being a pedophile.
World Boxing News received a statement from the British Boxing Board of Control and stated that Saunders would have to appear in front of the BBBofC next week. Saunders is currently facing a potential misconduct charge as a result of the contents of the video.
?The British Boxing Board of Control are aware of a video featuring WBO Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders. The Board have called Mr. Saunders to appear before the Stewards of Board on a misconduct charge next week."
In a separate report by The Daily Mail, local authorities are currently investigating the incident as there is a number of crimes that was being committed in the video.
?A full investigation will be carried out into the number of offenses that have been captured on film, including the offer to supply Class A drugs, aiding and abetting an assault, assault and public order offenses.?
Since then Saunders apologized on Twitter, calling the whole matter banter gone awry.
Saunders is currently scheduled to defend his WBO middleweight title against Demetrius Andrade on October 20 in Boston. That fight will be the main event of a Matchroom Boxing USA show that will be streamed exclusively on DAZN USA.
