- Showtime announced that its Showtime Extreme channel will televise part of the Mikey Garcia vs. Sergey Lipinets undercard on March 10. Among the fights announced for the Showtime Extreme telecast are Mario Barrios vs. Eudy Bernardo and Richard Commey vs. Alejandro Luna in an IBF lightweight title eliminator. - Rob Brant, who recently competed in the World Boxing Super Series super middleweight tournament, will be moving down in weight to middleweight for his next fight. Brant will fight Colby Courter in an eight-round bout on March 9 in Minnesota.

- Kalle Sauerland held a Twitter Q&A and revealed that not only will there be another World Boxing Super Series, but that the plan is to have the next tournament start next fall.

- Former WBA strawweight champion Byron Rojas has been named the mandatory challenger to the title, currently held by Knockout CP Freshmart. Freshmart will be making an optional title defense against Toto Landero on March 6 in Thailand, but the winner has 30 days after the fight to secure a fight deal with Rojas or the fight will go to purse bids.

- According to ESPN, the WBC light heavyweight title fight between Adonis Stevenson and Badou Jack will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal. That fight will be televised on Showtime on May 19.
