- Former unified junior welterweight world champion Julius Indongo has signed a promotional deal with DiBella Entertainment. Indongo hasn't fought since losing to Terence Crawford since last August and will train in Nebraska.

- Golden Boy Promotions released its ESPN broadcast schedule for the first half of 2018. Below are the dates the network will air its "Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN" series. Locations and fights have yet to be determined.

- Cecilia Braekhus, who currently holds the unified IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC/WBO welterweight titles, won the first-ever BWAA Female Fighter of the Year. Braekhus was one of several women who were nominated for Fightful's Female Boxer Of The Year award. - Junior welterweight contender Antonio Orozco has changed trainers after having weight issues in two of his past three fights. Orozco will now be trained by Manny Robles, who trains WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez and WBO super bantamweight champion Jessie Magdaleno.
