That's right, well over four years after his loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141, Brock Lesnar launched himself into the UFC's top 10 with a fairly one-sided victory over Mark Hunt.

Lesnar went from unranked to landing in the #8 spot, ahead of former UFC Champions Josh Barnett and Frank Mir, as well as his UFC 202 opponent Mark Hunt. Hunt slid from #8 down to number 9 following the loss.

Lesnar's future in the UFC is unknown. The former NCAA, WWE, IWGP and UFC Champion made it known throughout fight week that Vince McMahon would have to clear him to fight again. One would think that after such a dominating performance over an active, dangerous fighter, that McMahon could be open to the possibility.

The inclusion of Brock Lesnar in the UFC rankings sets many milestones, including being the first person to crack the top-10 after missing four straight years from the cage. This could give the UFC even more reason to book Lesnar against top talents if he were to actually fight again.

Lesnar's next “fight” is of the WWE variety, as he'll take on Randy Orton at Summerslam. Orton is not included in UFC's top-15 rankings.
