Top-10 Bantamweight Bryan Caraway has been by Miesha Tate's side for a long time, and knows her time has come to leave the sport of MMA.

Bryan Caraway is the longtime boyfriend of the now retired and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate. Caraway, when speaking to Bloody Elbow, talked about how his girlfriend has lacked the passion to fight, something that goes back to UFC 200.

“She’s not herself lately,” Caraway said. “She looked like that in the Nunes fight. She said it last night — her heart’s not in it anymore, so she didn’t care to try.”

Tate ends her career on a two fight losing streak. Those losses saw her drop the women’s bantamweight title to Amanda Nunes at UFC 200, then dropping a unanimous decision to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205. Tate is a former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion, she is only one of two women in the history of MMA to hold both belts.

Tate will compete against Jessica Eye at Submission Underground II in December.
