Can Xu vs. Shun Kubo Weigh-in Results

Although there are a number of big fights taking place today across the United States, one notable card is taking place outside of the country on May 26.

In Fuzhou, China, two title fights are set to happen after all four fighters successfully made weight. In the main event, Can Xu will defend his WBA "Regular" featherweight title for the first time since winning the title in January against former super bantamweight champion Shun Kubo. Both fighters were able to come in within a pound of the 126-pound limit.

As for the co-main event, former flyweight champion Sho Kimura will challenge for Carlos Canizales' WBA "Regular" light flyweight title. Kimura appeared to have answered questions about dropping down in weight by coming in nearly a pound under the 108-pound limit. This will be Canizales' second title defense since winning the belt back in March 2018.

Below are the weigh-in results for the world title bouts on the May 26 card in Fuzhou, China:

WBA "Regular" featherweight title (126-pound limit):

  • Can Xu: 125.5 lbs
  • Shun Kubo: 125.4 lbs

WBA "Regular" light flyweight title (108-pound limit):

  • Carlos Canizales: 107.6 lbs
  • Sho Kimura: 107.25 lbs

For those that want to watch the fights, the card will be streamed live on the WBA's official website.
