Carlos Adames To Fight In Commey-Beltran Co-Main Event; ESPN+ Undercard Revealed

In addition to the IBF lightweight world title fight headlining an ESPN card on June 28, Top Rank announced a slew of fights that will lead into the main event.

The co-feature bout of the Top Rank on ESPN telecast will be a 10-round fight between Carlos Adames and Patrick Day for Adames? NABO and NABF junior middleweight titles.

Adames, ranked No. 5 by the WBC, is an unbeaten Dominican boxer who has won all 17 of his pro bouts, 14 of which were from inside the distance. The 25-year-old has held the NABF title since last November with a second-round TKO win over Joshua Conley. He added the NABO title on April 20 when he stopped Frank Galarza in the fourth round as part of the prelim card for Terence Crawford?s WBO welterweight title defense against Amir Khan.

Day is a regional titleholder in his own right, currently holding the WBC Continental Americas and IBF Intercontinental titles. Day, ranked No. 10 by the WBC, is coming off a 10-round decision against Ismail Iliev back on February 2.

Top Rank also announced the lineup for the undercard that will be streamed on ESPN+. The eight-fight ESPN+ card are as follows:

  • Saul Rodriguez vs. Miguel Gonzalez
  • Tyler Howard vs. Manny Woods
  • Ruben Rodriguez vs. Vicente Morales
  • Raymond Muratalla vs. Javier Martinez
  • Christopher Zavala vs. Prisco Marquez
  • David Kaminsky vs. Osbaldo Gonzalez
  • Daniel Lewis vs. TBA
  • Elvis Rodriguez vs. TBA

The main event of the ESPN-televised card will be the IBF 135-pound world title fight between titleholder Richard Commey and Raymundo Beltran. This will be Commey?s first title defense since winning the belt back in February in Frisco, Texas.
