CB Dollaway Exploring Legal Options For UFC 203 Elevator Incident

CB Dollaway was scheduled to fight on the preliminary card for UFC 203 against Francimar Barroso, but an injury just after weighing in for the event would prevent that fight from happening, but it was not your run of the mill MMA injury that he was exposed to.

Dollaway, along with several other MMA personalities were involved in an incident at the Wyndham Hotel involving an elevator that first got stuck and then fell approximately one floor, injuring the light heavyweight division star.

According to Dollaway’s manager, the fighter has suffered a wedged disc in his neck and a compressed disc in his lower back.

Dave Martin, the aforementioned manager of Dollaway, issued the following statement when contacted by MMA Fighting

"Somebody is going to answer for this," he said. "I'll tell you that much."

Dollaway was stuck in a Cleveland, Ohio hospital for several days after the event so his injuries can be monitored, but has since returns to Phoenix, Arizona to begin rehabilitation, no surgery is needed for the fighter at this point in time.

A representative from the Wyndham Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio was contacted by MMA Fighting about the incident and this was the response:

"I still don't have incident report," he said.

Dollaway has yet to announce any formal legal matters against the hotel or any other parties as of this writing, nor has a potential future fight been announced for the UFC star, his return date will not be known until the rehabilitation process is complete.
