Changes Made For October 26 Showtime Boxing Card, Erickson Lubin Gets New Opponent In Main Event

Injuries plagued the upcoming Showtime boxing card from Reading, Pennsylvania and thus, numerous changes had to be made for the October 26 event.

The main event of the three-fight card, originally a WBC junior middleweight title eliminator between Erickson Lubin and Terrell Gausha, is no longer happening after Gausha suffered an injury. Lubin will still fight in the main event, but will now take on Nathaniel Gallimore in a 10-round bout.

Lubin had been on a three-fight win streak ever since he got knocked out by Jermell Charlo in a junior middleweight world title bout back in 2017. Lubin won a title eliminator for that WBC belt in his last bout back on June 29. Gallimore sports a 21-3-1 record as a pro boxer and has won just one of his last three fights, facing the likes of Julian Williams and Patrick Teixeira.

Another change was made to the show as the fight between former world champions Emmanuel Rodriguez and Rau'shee Warren, also planned to be a WBC bantamweight title eliminator, is canceled. Warren suffered an injury during a sparring session and won't be ready in time for the fight. In its place is a 10-round heavyweight bout between unbeaten prospect Efe Ajgaba and Jack Mulowayi.

The only fight from the initial event announcement that is still moving forward as planned is a junior welterweight matchup between former lightweight champion Robert Easter Jr. and Adrian Granados.
