CM Punk's first UFC fight is set, and so is a documentary on the process.
FOX Sports 1 will air a documentary on CM Punk titled Evolution of Punk, which is advertised to air on August 15. The program will chronicle the former WWE Champion Punk's journey, from signing with the UFC, all the way through training for his debut fight against Mickey Gall. FOX cameras have been following Punk all throughout his training process, which started in February of 2015.
Duke Roufus and others at Roufusport have been protective of cameras near Punk during training, and the FOX documentary has been rumored to be a reason for that. Punk will take on Mickey Gall (2-0) in his debut bout. The two were tentatively slated to compete much earlier, but the fight was delayed when Punk was forced to undergo back surgery and was subsequently sidelined.
UFC 203 takes place on September 10 from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Fightful.com will have exclusive interviews with those inside CM Punk's gym ahead of his fight.
