Co-Main Event Set, Full Card Announced For Invicta FC 31

Invicta FC 31 is set for Saturday, September 1 with Virna Jandiroba defending the strawweight title against Janaisa Morandin.

The co-main event is now set for the show as well, as UFC veteran Pearl Gonzalez is in action against Daiane Firmino.

Gonzalez (8-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the Invicta FC banner, defeating the duo of Kali Robbins and Barbara Acioly. Gonzalez did go winless during a two fight stint in the UFC, with those losses coming to Cynthia Calvillo and Poliana Botelho. Gonzalez has picked up a total of eight wins as a professional MMA fighter, with more than half of them coming by way of submission.

Firmino (9-2-0) is going to be making her Invicta FC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a two bout winning streak. Firmino also competed for the first time in almost a year, with her last bout coming in December of 2017. Firmino has previously challenged for the Batalha MMA Women’s Flyweight Title, losing to Maya Bueno Silva at Batalha MMA 5.

Other bouts on the card include Lisa Spangler vs. Shanna Young, Mallory Martin vs. Ashley Nichols, Miranda Maverick vs. Victoria Leonardo, Kelly D’Angelo vs. Lindsey VanZandt, Helen Peralta vs. Kay Hansen and Audrey Drew vs. Holli Salazar.
