Colby Covington Calls Himself The UFC’s “Super Villain”

MMA

Colby Covington and former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos will clash for the vacant UFC Interim Welterweight Title in the co-main event of UFC 225.

The welterweight contender has quickly become one of the most despised fighters in the promotion, which is why Covington has proclaimed himself to be the UFC?s ?super villain.?

?I?m good for business. I?m the super villain of this division. I?m the super villain of the whole entire UFC,? Covington said to Damon Martin of MMA Weekly. ?They?re starting to realize my worth. I?m the most notable fighter right now. Everybody wants to watch me. Whether they want to see me lose or win, it?s all the same f?king thing. They?re all going to be tuning in on June 9 on pay-per-view to watch me put an ass whooping on that little Franken-nerd RDA. I?m going to leave RDA motionless in the Octagon and there will be no question I?m the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.?

Covington has made enemies of the Brazilian people by calling them ?filthy animals,? an enemy out of Fabricio Werdum after their boomerang altercation in Australia and has even said he?ll confront commentator Joe Rogan at UFC 225.

Chicago has now become the latest target of Covington, who labels their sports teams as nothing but trash.

?I can?t wait to go takeover Chicago. The Bulls, they?ve been sucking lately and the Bears, that team is trash so they?re going to get a championship caliber fighter when I come to the city,? says Covington.

UFC 225 takes place on Saturday, June 9 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois with Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
