Colby Covington Says Tyron Woodley’s Career Is Over

MMA

Former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley recently lost the title to Kamaru Usman via unanimous decision at UFC 235.

The performance wasn?t a good one by the former title holder, which has lead to former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington to predict that Woodley?s MMA career is over.

?His career is over,? Covington said to Bloody Elbow. ?He?s made all his money, he?s cashed out, he?s not a real fighter anymore. He doesn?t want to be here to make his division great again like myself. That was already a broken man (in the cage against Usman).?

Woodley and Usman were supposed to meet a few times in the Octagon, but injuries and other objections seemingly got in the way of those potential fights.

Covington is expected to be the first to challenge Usman for the gold, which means that Woodley is the odd man out according to him.

?Obviously, I?m the biggest draw in this division, I?m the real world champion, and I?m gonna fight for the title next,? Covington said. ?It?s gonna be me and Snoozeman, and Woodley?s the odd man out.?

There is no word yet on when the title fight will happen, but it is rumored to be happening sometime this summer.
