Conor McGregor Comments On Blowing Out His Knee At UFC 329, Says He Had No Injury Going Into The Fight

The return of Conor McGregor ended with the wrong kind of bang for “The Notorious” as he blew out his knee just seconds into his fight against Max Holloway.
McGregor opened the fight with a jumping switch kick, and when he landed on his right leg, it gave out. He tried to continue, but couldn’t move properly on his leg, and the referee eventually stopped the fight.
It was speculated that McGregor hurt himself removing his shoes before getting into the cage or that he came into the fight with a knee injury.
On social media after the fight, McGregor wrote, “My head gasket is gone. Destroyed. I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.”
