UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has not appeared in the Octagon since defeating Eddie Alvarez to win the title at UFC 205.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has long been considered a top threat to McGregor?s title reign, recently defeating Edson Barboza by decision at UFC 219.
McGregor also boxed Floyd Mayweather in his professional boxing debut this past August, suffering a tenth round TKO loss.
