MMA

It has been rumored that the UFC Flyweight Division will eventually be eliminated now that former UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson has been traded to One Championship in exchange for Ben Askren

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor has never competed at flyweight, but he does hold One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong responsible for the division and would like the promotion to sign the soon to be released flyweights.

One Championship has added several big names to the roster in recent weeks, including former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate, former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez and the aforementioned Demetrious Johnson.

There has been no word yet from Sityodtong or anybody else from the promotion as to whether or not they plan to add any of the potentially soon to be released flyweights to their roster.
