Conor McGregor & Khabib Nurmagomedov Spar On Social Media, McGregor Goes After Nurmagomedov’s Wife

It would seem like the rivalry between UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor will not come to an end.

The duo, who are still serving suspensions in line with the post-fight brawl at UFC 229, would take to battle through social media.

Everything seemingly started when Nurmagomedov posted the following on Instagram & Twitter:

That would lead to McGregor stating the following through Twitter:

Nurmagomedov would return fire a short time later on Twitter:

Things would calm down between the two for a short period of time, but then McGregor would tweet that Nurmagomedov’s wife was a towel.

That tweet has since been deleted, but it was still captured before the retired UFC fighter took it down:

While Nurmagomedov has yet to respond to the insult from McGregor, it hasn’t stopped his agent in Ali Abdelaziz from posting the following on Twitter:

 

Talking shit, this guy is insulting someone’s wife and making fun of her religion and belief. He doesn’t realize he’s insulting 1.5 billon Muslims. Religion and family is a no no. You’re fucked Connor, let’s see what the media is going to say now. He’s a rapist, and a bitch.

McGregor and Nurmagomedov’s only Octagon encounter happened at UFC 229, with Nurmagomedov scoring a fourth round submission win on that night. The rivalry between the two has been personal for a long time now, with McGregor attacking the lightweight champion’s religion, family and now his wife.
