Conor McGregor Releases Statement After UFC 257 Loss To Dustin Poirier

Conor McGregor is looking forward to a third scrap with Dustin Poirier following his failed campaign at UFC 257.

McGregor (22-5) went toe-to-toe with Poirier (27-6) in the main event of Saturday's card. McGregor likely took round one. In round two, Poirier continued to utilize heavy leg kicks to sabotage McGregor's movement before finishing him with punches against the fence. "The Notorious" one acknowledged his loss on Sunday.

"Thanks for the support everyone!" McGregor began. "Was not my night/morning in there but a great contest to improve on. I?m excited at the blockbuster trilogy I now have on my hands. Dustin is a hell of a competitor and I look forward to going again. God bless us all, happy Sunday."
