Conor McGregor Saves Gym From Going Out Of Business

There are few professional athletes in the world that are in the news more often than Conor McGregor ? this time, his charitable deeds are generating headlines.

It was announced this past week that SBG Portarlington, the sister-camp McGregor's career-long fight-team SBG Ireland, was going to have to close their doors due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

It was not long before the 32-year old McGregor stepped in and saved the day. SBG Portarlington posted a subsequent update announcing they would in fact be staying open for business. They credited the "Notorious" one for helping keep their business afloat.

The news comes just over a month away from McGregor's long-awaited return to the UFC's Octagon. McGregor headlines the promotion's return to Fight Island on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on January 23 against Dustin Poirier in a five-round lightweight main event.
