UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor came up short in his professional boxing debut, suffering a tenth round TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather in ?The Money Fight.?
Now that McGregor has been in the ring with the legendary boxer, the fighter can safely say that Mayweather has the skills to become a successful MMA fighter.
McGregor would make the claims in a length post on Instagram:
During the build up to the super fight, the boxing great did make some claims about coming over to MMA and fighting. However, the undefeated boxer did announce his retirement from boxing after the fight and his next move isn?t known at this time.
As far as McGregor goes, the UFC Lightweight Champion is expected to return to the UFC, but nothing has been made official at this time.
