Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier is a done deal.
McGregor has signed his bout agreement to rematch Poirier at UFC 257 on January 23. The news was first reported by McGregor's publication, The Mac Life. McGregor subsequently retweeted the news and reportedly confirmed it to ESPN's Ariel Helwani.
McGregor (22-4) defeated Poirier (26-6-0-1) via first-round TKO at UFC 178 in September 2014. McGregor is on a 3-2 run in his last five fights; meanwhile, Poirier has won four of his last five.
UFC 257 takes place on January 23. No location has officially been confirmed; however, UFC President Dana White has said on multiple occasions that McGregor vs. Poirier will likely take place on Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Keep up with Fightful for all your fight night coverage.
