MMA

Cris Cyborg's weight issues have been well documented.

The Invicta FC Featherweight Champion competes this Saturday at UFC Fight Night Brasilia, fighting for the second time at 140 pounds. Cyborg, who once committed to making 135 pounds, has had difficulty reaching 140 during her UFC run. On her latest video blog, she is shown arguing with nutritionist George Lockhart about birth control, and how it affects her.

Lockhart is shown explaining that Cyborg's doctor doesn't cut weight, so they don't understand the benefits of using birth control to cut weight. Lockhart is considered among the best nutritionists in MMA. The two go back and forth in the clip discussing the situation, with Cyborg questioning why Lockhart was having her take it when she didn't need it.

The situation does in-depth with Lockhart explaining that Cyborg gained 13 pounds during her menstrual cycle.

Rival nutritionist Mike Dolce commented on the matter, trashing Lockhart.

Cyborg will take on Lina Lansberg in the main event Saturday night. Fightful.com will have full coverage of the event.
