It's no secret that Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg want to fight each other, but it's been tough for both sides to come to an agreement.
In the latest chapter of the Rousey vs. Cyborg saga, Cyborg said on Twitter that she wants to fight the former UFC Women's Bantamweight champion Super Bowl weekend.
Rousey has not fought since title lost to Holly Holm, but UFC President Dana White said on the UFC Unfiltered podcast that Rousey wants the fight, but still need to agree on a weight -- a huge sticking point that has prevented the dream match from happening sooner.
"Listen, Ronda wants to fight her,” White said. “We’d have to figure out at what weight to fight, but Ronda wants that fight.”
Cyborg's lone two fights in the UFC, while impressive performances, were not against high-profile opponents. According to reports, Rousey is preparing to fight at some point in the rest of the year, but no opponent has been named or even discussed with Rousey, according to Dana White.
Cyborg has declared her intent to only fight at 140 pounds for superfights in the future.
