Dan Hardy Would Pick Nate Diaz For Return Fight Opponent

Dan Hardy recently reentered the USADA testing pool for a potential return to professional MMA competition in the near future.

If Hardy could pick his opponent for the return to the Octagon, an ideal opponent would be Nate Diaz

?Honestly, right now, the guy everyone wants to fight is Nate Diaz,? Hardy told Brett Okamoto of ESPN (via Abhinav Kini of The Body Lock MMA). ?That?s the ideal pick.?

Diaz is booked at the moment to headline the upcoming UFC 244 card, as he faces Jorge Masvidal for the BMF Championship.

Hardy also believes that if he were to go toe to toe with the Stockton native, it would result with the British slugger getting the knockout win.

?Oh, I?d eat his lead leg up until he starts falling onto my punches and then I knock him out. Simple,? he said.

There is no word yet on when Hardy is going to be making his official return to professional MMA competition, as the fighter last competed at UFC On Fuel TV V in September of 2012, defeating Amir Sadollah by unanimous decision.
